We only had drinks, but great coffee, the best hot chocolate ever, and very nice service. The steep stairs are part of the charm. Recommend it

Cozy and quaint atmosphere in a little guard tower. Top marks for the latte and crumpets. Do yourself a favor and top by!

Stopped here by chance. What a find! The service was superb, but the sandwiches and baguettes were to die for. Honestly, I had one of the best sandwiches of my life. Definitely recommend the Quirky Cafe & Bar.

What a find for breakfast, Sheridan was a fantastic host. The food and drinks were great, the music was very good. Will definitely be going back.

Such a cool place. Had some great sandwiches and mulled wine here for lunch after travelling from Nottingham. Special mention to the staff who were extra friendly and helpful, even checking for extra mulled wine when they thought they were run out (they had just enough left for us). Would definitely come again. The artwork/design is also so cool here. It was a great welcome to York.

A fantastic place for coffee and to soak up the history of this stunning building! A trip up to the tower is definitely rewarded with a stunning view out of the window down the river.
